Small Groups Last Updated: April May 5th, 2007 Our small groups are social groups geared towards members of the LGBT community that focus on different branches of the student body. All groups are open to all University of Maryland students, staff, and faculty; however each small group is a safe-speech-mutual-respect environment. All groups meet weekly unless stated otherwise. Please see the Officers contact webpage for information on our small group facilitators. If you are attending the Pride Alliance Small Groups because of a class assignment, please attend the QSA meeting. The QSA meeting is a general body meeting for the Pride Alliance and would be a good place for observation assignments. Also, please contact the facilitators for the QSA meeting before you attend, Jenna Brager and c.j. Rock (their e-mail addresses are on the Officers page) so that they can help you with whatever you might need for your assignment. Our wonderful groups are as followed: QSA (Queer-Straight Alliance): QSA is for all members of Pride Alliance and serves as our general body meetings. The purpose of QSA meetings is to bring together all of Pride Alliance for planning, activism, socialising, and discussion for members of the LGBT community as a whole. Voice your opinion, get involved, and meet new people!  This week QSA will have its final meeting of the semester @ 7 pm on Thursday, 5/8. We will be meeting for dinner on Route 1 instead of at our usual location. SafeSpace: SafeSpace provides a confidential forum for newly out and questioning members of the LGBT community to meet others who may be, or may have experienced similar issues in coming out to themselves, their families, or their friends. Discussion topics can range from political to personal. Is there a topic you want to talk about? SafeSpace will meet this Monday at 6:00pm, in 1131 Woods Hall.   Bisexuals at Maryland: Bisexuals at Maryland is a social and discussion group for all those 1 through 5 on the Kinsey scale! If you identify as bisexual, or if you feel that none of the standard 'LGB' orientations quite suit you, or if you just want to show your support. BAM will meet this Tuesday at 6:00pm in 3148 Marie Mount Hall.   W2W (Women2Women): Women2Women is a group that serves as a space for queer-identified women at UM. Come discuss issues and socialize with your girls! W2W will meet this Tuesday at 7:00pm, in 1105 Journalism Hall.   Trans U: Trans U is a discussion and support group for those who identify as transgender, gender queer, or otherwise feel restricted by conventional definitions of "man" and "woman". Join us to meet new people and discuss trans-relevant issues.  Trans U will meet this Wednesday at 7:00pm, in 0104 Woods Hall.   TCOM (True Colors of Maryland): True Colors of Maryland is a group dedicated to addressing the social and political issues that face LGBT people of color. TCOM will meet this Thursday at 8:00pm, in 1130 Woods Hall.  Thursday **MAY 8TH** will be THE LAST TCOM MEETING so I think it will be only fair to end it with a PIZZA PARTY(yes there will b cinnastix) and FUN ACTIVITIES...YAAAYYYY!!!!!!
