President, QSA Co-Facilitator, c.j. rock
Hailing from New England, c.j. is a third year student majoring in Spanish Language and Literature and pursuing the Certificate of LGBT Studies here at University of Maryland. Ze is the President and is the QSA Co-Facilitator for Spring 2008. Ze has also graduated the College Park Scholars program, specifically the American Cultures group. Ze intends to become a foreign language teacher at the high school level, and one day opening hir own high school in the DC area. This year, c.j. is President of the Pride Alliance, but has been involved since hir freshman year, taking over the positions of Director of Programming (formerly VP of Programming) and facilitation of Bisexuals at Maryland, and last year, Director of Communication and co-facilitation of Trans U. This summer, ze attended the Campus Pride LGBTA Summer Leadership Camp, learned a ton of info, and loved it to pieces. If you don't see hir being an all-around crazy queer at Pride Alliance meetings and events, ze's probably expounding the virtues of Google products, working in the Office of LGBT Equity, or pondering what songs to play on hir WMUC radio show, the Queer Quorner , with "quohost" Scott La Cross. Questions about anything at all are always welcome - and if ze can't answer it, ze'll point you to a resource that can.. c.j. rock can be reached at president.pride [@] umd.edu.
