President, Spencer Brennen

Spencer Brennen is a second semester sophomore majoring in studio arts. He is also the president of the Black Belt Club, a mixed martial arts club on campus, earning him the nick name "martial arts (and crafts) ninja. He is also a student worker at the Office of Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy along with Jenna. Spencer loves painting and drawing so if you ever see him he'll probably be tucked away in a corner scribbling on a well worn pad of paper with five or six pencils and or brushes in his hands, mouth and hair. When he's not drawing or working for any of the student groups he's involved with, Spencer spends his time listening to music, cooking, or watching more comedy than is perhaps good for him. His life is full of both frivolous and significant experiences which you will probably hear all about. Spencer can be reached at president.pride [at] umd.edu

Director of Finance: Josef Parker

Josef Parker is a junior pursuing an American Studies major and an LGBT studies certificate. He is the Director of Finance for 2009-2010. Whenever he isn’t running around neurotically and driveling about discourse, he is involved with Feminism Without Borders, Students for a Democratic Society, and Honors Humanities. He also works at the Maryland Food Co-op and is a Neighboring Commuter Legislator in the Student Government Association. He can usually be found asleep in the Pride Alliance office, participating in a direct action, volunteering at the Co-op, or running around naked. He also likes to dance, a lot. He can be reached at finance.pride [@] umd.edu.

Director of Programming, Trans U Facilitator: AJ Short

AJ is a sophomore Women's Studies major, also pursuing a certificate in LGBT studies. I like poetry, singer/songwriter-type music, and petting random animals. I am from St. Louis- you know, the one with the arch. I don't really know my way around College Park or DC yet, but if you see me looking lost, I am. AJ can be reached at programming.pride [@] umd.edu

Director of Communication: Pamela Hsu

Pamela Hsu is your Director of Communication 2009 - 2010. She is currently a junior in the Anthropology Department and also looking for another major to keep her busy. [Not that she isn't already] She is an alumni of the Global Communities Live and Learn Program and works in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center as events crew and in the prop shop. She is also involved in the Alternative Break Program, Co-op Housing in College Park, and American Indian Student Union [AISU]. She enjoys her coffee, tea, and pastires at anytime of the day and loves to climb things whether they look climb-able or not. She can be found either in Dorchester Hall, the Pride Alliance office, CSPAC, or perhaps if you look up occasionall, in a tree! She can be reached at communication.pride [@] umd.edu.

Director of Small Groups: Tania Cox

Tania Cox is a junior Psychology major and the 2009/2010 Director of Small Groups here at Maryland. Widely acclaimed for being the best ever waitress at Bob Evans, she is a number one fan of food. It follows that she is very fond of Swedish Fish but she also enjoys the Misadventures of Flapjack, documentaries, playing RockBand, listening to music, and just having a good time in general. Spontaneity is a prime motivator, and she enjoys things slightly unusual. She can be reached at smallgroups.pride [@] umd.edu.

Field Organizer: Jenna Brager

Jenna Brager is a senior American Studies major with a certificate in LGBT Studies. She is also currently the president of Terpoets, the University of Maryland's premier open mic, and a student worker in the Office of Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy. She enjoys playing with her pet rats, Green Bean and Turnip Mae, cartooning, drinking coffee, working on her zine (Sassyfrass Circus), and posting on her blog at sassyfrasscircus.com. She also likes to dance, a lot, but not quite as much as Josef Parker. Jenna can be reached at fieldorganizer.pride [@] umd.edu.
