Michael Weinberger is the Graduate Assistant Coordinator for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Student Involvement & Advocacy. Michael is a second-year graduate student, studying urban planning in the area of community development. He received his undergraduate degree from the American University in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and American Studies.
Michael's job is to ensure that LGBT student voices are heard in the greater campus environment. The LGBT community at University of Maryland is both diverse and accessible, and in this position, the coordinator enables every student at UMD to have the opportunity to connect with these distinct communities and find their own experience.
